Gadchiroli Gadchiroli June 14 (District Correspondent) Various political parties in the district have demanded stern action against the rapist of a tribal minor girl in Allapalli in the district.
BJP Mahila Morcha—A delegation of the BJP Mahila morcha also met the SP separately and submitted him a memorandum demanding stern action against the accused in the rape case.
The copies of the memorandum have been sent to the State Home Minister and Guardian Minister of Gadchiroli Devendra Fadnavis. Rachnatai Gahane, Mahila Morcha Regional Secretary Mrs. Rekhatai Dolas, former chairpersons Ranjitatai Kodap, Rahimatai Siddiqui, Pallavi Barapatre, Women BJP District General Secretary Varshatai Shedmake, Sunita Madavi and other women activists were present in the delegation.
PWP – The woman leader of the Peasants and Workers’ Party (PWP) Jayashree Welada submitted a memorandum to the District Superintendent of Police and demanded to investigate the case of rape and take strict action against the accused.
In the memorandum Ms. Welada has said that since the accused involved in the Alapalli rape case are said that the accused should be booked under the Atrocities Act along with the Rape and POCSO Act. Also, it should be investigated whether some other persons are involved into the crime or what, Welada has demanded.
