Gadchiroli May 14 (District Correspondent) The ‘Florence Nightingale District-Level Awards’ distribution ceremony was organized by the Health Department of the Gadchiroli Zilla Parishad at Veer Shahid Baburao Shedmake Auditorium here on Wednesday. During this ceremony, as many as 9 nurses were honoured for their outstanding performance in the healthcare sector.
Prominently present at the event were Zilla Parishad CEO Mr. Suhas Gade, Civil Surgeon Dr. Varsha Lahade, District Health Officer Dr. Pratap Shinde, District Maternal and Child Health Officer Dr. Prafulla Hulke, and District Surveillance Officer Dr. Pankaj Hemke.
While addressing the gathering Mr. Gade underscored the unparalleled importance of nurses in strengthening the Health Department and congratulated the nurses on their achievement.
Dr. Varsha Lahade noted that nurses truly constitute the backbone of the healthcare system and extended her best wishes to the award-winning nurses.
During the ceremony, awards were presented to a total of 9 healthcare workers. First Place: Archana Madavi (PHC Purada), Second Place: Rajani Wasnik (PHC Jimalgatta), Third Place: Vaishali Bhivaji Zhade (PHC Jimalgatta)
Health Assistant Category- First: Shobha Gedam (PHC Malewada) Second: Chhaya Gajbhiye (PHC Kotgul), Third: Vidya Uike (PHC Purada)
Nurse -Staff Nurse Category- First: Najma Beg (Rural Hospital, Bhamragad), Second: Nanda Walko (General Hospital, Gadchiroli), Third: Sunanda Chandekar (Sub-District Hospital, Aheri)
In addition to the Florence Nightingale Awards, Health Workers and Pharmacists who demonstrated outstanding performance in Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) activities were also honoured with awards.
Two female Health Workers Ms. Smita Lonare, Ms. Meena Raut who brought distinction to the district through their performance during the DHPE training held in Mumbai were specially felicitated.
