Gadchiroli April 10 (District Correspondent) The Adiwasi Mahila Sahitya Sammelan has been organized at Maharaja Sabhagriha on Dhanora Road here on April 15 and 16 next.
This is the first ever literary meet of the tribal women litterateur in the country, told Ms. Kusum Alam, convenor of the Sammelan and noted tribal poetess in a press conference at the Press Club here on Saturday afternoon.
Various social organizations -Krantiveer Narayansingh Uike Samiti, Adiwasi Ekta Parishad, Akhil Bhartiya Adiwasi Vikas Parishad, Jan adhikar Manch have jointly organized this Sammelan, she told.
Mr. Hiramanji Warkhede, senior tribal leader and former MLA is the chairman of Reception Committee. The Sammelan will be inaugurated at the hands of Ms. Najubai Gawit, well known litterateur. Dr. Streamlet Dwakahr, a Sahitya Academy award winner from Meghalaya will preside. Mr. Fulman Chaudhari, Dr. Abhay Bang, Dr. Heena Gavit, Narhari Zirwal, Madhukarrao Pichad, Rajendra Gavit, MP, Ashok Nete, MP, Vijay Wadettiwar, former minister, Marotrao Kowase, ex MP, Dr. Deorao Holi, Krishna Gajbhe, K. C. Padwi, all MLAs, Hariram Warkhede, ex MLA, Adv. Padmakar Walwi, Prof. Vasnatrao Purke, Shivajirao Moghe, Ms. Manjula Gawit, Ashok Uike will be the chief guets at the inaugural programme.
The litterateurs from Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Gujrat, Delhi, Rajsthan etc will participate in this Sammelan, told Ms. Alam. The emionent personalities Ms. Sumitra Madavi, Nandabai Bhil, Shahista Khan Pathanm, Shalinitai Salwe, Kusum Meghwal, Kaluram Dodke will be felicitated in the Sammelan for their valuable contribution to the tribal society, she added.
The solo play based on the lives of the tribal fighters Zalkaribai and Kalibai Kalasuwa will be presented by Manisha Madavi and Moksha Chaudhari in the Sammelan. A ‘Kavi Sammelans’ will be held under the chairmanship of Nirmala Putul, poetess from Jharkahnd, and Vasantrao Kannake. Story telling session will be held under the chairmanship of Ushakiran Atram.
A symposium on ‘Natural Resources and Tribal Life will be held under the presidency of Mamta Kujur from Chhattisgarh. Ms. Alam appealed all the citizens, students, reasearchers, teachers to attend the Sammelan in large numbers.
Also present at the press conference were Mr. Hiramanji Warkhede, Sudha Chaudhari, Manohar Hepat, Vilas Nimborkar, Dr. Praveen Kilnake, Pramod borsare, Arti Kangale, Mangala Madavi, Shewanta Halami, Sunita Usendi, Sonu Alam and others.
