Republican workers demand early transfer Medical Officer of Porla PHC.

Gadchiroli—The workers of All india Republican Party have demanded immediate transfer of the medical officer of the primary health centre of Porla in Gadchiroli taluka as he remains constantly absent and the patients in the area are suffering a lot and they are not getting timely treatment.

A delegation of activists of the Republican Party and citizens met the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Mr. Shelar today in his office and submitted him a written memorandum in this regard.

Medical officers of the Porla primary health centre (PHC) is never present on time so patients have to wait for him and sometimes have to go back without treatment. Some people have to go for treatment outside the village but most of them are poor and cannot afford such treatment, the memorandum said. The villagers and workers demanded that this medical officer should be transferred immediately.

In addition to this, the health centre does not have adequate stock of medicines and patients have to buy medicines from outside which they cannot afford. The memorandum also complained that the other employees of the health centre also do not live in the village and attend their duties from outside. So these employees also do not attend the health centre on time and the patients have to wait.

It has been warned that all the problems in this health centre should be solved immediately otherwise the villagers and activists of All India Republican Party will launch an agitation.

The delegation included Republican Party District General Secretary Hansraj Undirwade, Regional Secretary Keshavrao Samarutva, Office Secretary Ashok Khobragade, Dadaji Dhakade, Diwakar Banbale.
