Relatives demand compensation for tractor accident victims.

Gadchiroli May 15 (District Correspondent) The relatives of the villagers who were killed in a tractor accident while going to attend a government programme at village Chitur in Sironcha taluka have demanded early compensation.

Addressing a press conference at the Press club here last afternoon, the villagers told that around 40 persons from village Laxmidevpetha in Sironcha taluka were taken to village Chitur by the Talathi to attend the govt. programme ‘Fair of govt. Schemes’ in a tractor. When they were coming back, four persons namely Chinamallaya Lambadi, Gangu Gosula, Mallu Madem and Chinakka Peddi were killed when a tractor they were travelling in overturned near village Dubapalli on April 26 last.

The Talathi of the area had asked the villagers to attend the programme and had arranged this vehicle for their transportation to the site which is around 15 kilometres from the village, they added.

We have lost the members of the family. Even after all these days no any government aid has been provided to us, they pointed out. A compensation should be given immediately to the kins of the deceased, the relatives demanded.

Present at the press conference were Mr. Samayya Pasula, former Zilla Parishad President and senior leader of Bharat Rashtra Samiti, Samayya MademShankar Senigarap, BRS worker and relatives of the deceased Shrinivas Lambadi, Ramchandra Gosula, Samayya Shangunda and others.
