Gadchiroli July 11 (District Correspondent) Bhagwan Birsa Munda Public Library was started at village Malewada in Kurkhede taluka the other day by the police department and the villagers jointly.

The library that has been opened under the initiative ‘Ek Gaon Ek Vachnalaya’ with the concept of SP Nilotpal was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Krishna Gajbhe, MLA from Armori.

Mr. Kumar Chinta, Additional SP, Dhananjay Patil, Incharge of Civic Action Programme, Nareshchandra Kothale of Mission IAS, Nandu Narote, former ZP councilors, Geeta Kumre, Ms. Anusaya Pendam, Sarpanch of Malewada were prominently present.

At the outset, a ‘Grantha Dindi’ procession of books) was taken out in the village in which students and villagers participated. The procession started from the Police Assistance Centre and culminated in the village school.

More than 200 books have been kept in the library along with other necessary facilities like chairs, tables, cupboards, drinking water etc has been provided.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Gajbhe appreciated the initiative and assured all the necessary help for it. Libraries are very important for the students and citizens, he added.

Mr. Chinta called upon the students to utilize the library for preparation of competitive exams and develop their personality. He also gave the information of the foreign education, sports facilities and asked them to avail the benefit of these facilities. Police department will always stand with the villagers, he assured.

Mr. Kothale spoke about the importance of library in competitive exams and gifted some books to the library on the occasion. Mr. Balasaheb Shinde of the winners Academy, Aurangabad also extended help for the e -library and assured to give online guidance to the students through mobile phone.

Mr. Sahil Zarkar, SDPO of Kurkheda, Narayan Rathod, In charge of Malewada Police Centre, Bharat Nikalje, PSI and other officials of the police Centre took pains for the success of the programme.
