Gadchiroli April 10 (District correspondent) Gadchiroli district has a large number of Lohar community but even after so many years of independence, this community is earning their livelihood by doing their traditional occupation and even today its socio-economic and educational condition has remained backward.
This was stated by Mr. Ashok Nete, MP from Gadchiroli Chimur Lok Sabha constituency while speaking at the rally of Lohar community, felicitation of meritorious students and meet of marriageable youths here the other day.
Dr. Deorao holi, MLA, Sureshji Mandavagade, District President of the Lohas Samaj Sanghatana, BJP District Vice President Anil Pohankar, Rishidev Yerme, Nandu Bhau Kumre were prominently present.
Mr. Nete said the community members should come forward and avail the various schemes started by the state and the central government and achieve the all-round progress of the community. He also appealed the community members to take higher education and achieve big positions in the society.
It is necessary to organize social awareness program by all the social organizations and through this organized program, it is the need of the time to gather the information about the various schemes of the central government and the state government meant for the common poor members of the society
Dr. Deorao Holi said all out efforts will be made for the development of the community. He praised the initiative of holding the rally and hoped it would help the community to know the problems and find out the remedies to solve them. The state government is doing all the necessary things for the betterment of the backward communities, he said.
On this occasion, MP Ashok Nete was publicly felicitated on behalf of the community members by presenting him shawl and bouquet. The meritorious students of the community were felicitated in the programme as well as the marriageable community youths were introduced to each other.
On this occasion thousands of functionaries and workers of Maharashtra State Lohar Samaj Sangh and members of the community were present in large numbers. Gadi Lohar Samaj Sanghagan District Gadchiroli made tireless efforts to make the rally a success.
