Gadchiroli July 12 (District Correspondent) The meritorious students of the Buddhist community were accorded felicitation jointly by Samyak Samaj Samiti and Visakha Mahila Mandal at  Samyak Buddha Vihar, Gokul Nagar recently.

Social activist Rohidas Raut, social worker, presided over the felicitation ceremony while, Prof. Dr. Dilip Barsagade, academician, Vineet Bhajikhaye, Manager of Indian Bank, Prof. Gautam Dange, Mr. Hansraj Undirwade, President of Samyak Samaj Samiti, Kavaduji  Undirwade, president of Jeshtha Nagarik Sangh, Ms. Sumitra Raut, President of Visakha Mahila Mandal were present as the Chief Guests.

Ms. Ashwati Dhanpal Shende, Prajyoti Manoj Kumbhare, Ashwini Vaman Nimsarkar, Tanvi Anil Totpalliwar, Sanchita Bhupendra Bambole, Grishma Pramod Dholane, Dishanti Vijay Undirwade, Srishti Vinod Sorte from Std. X th who scored above 90 percent marks and Samay Ramesh Ramteke, Anagha Rajkumar Wasnik, Shruti Siddharth Govardhan and Riya Ravikumar Meshram from Std. XII th were felicitated at the programme by presenting them with certificates, mementos and books written by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The parents of these students were also honoured on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Barsagade called upon the students to take higher education by availing the modern facilities and mark their presence in the society with their brilliant personality. He also asked the students to bravely face the challenges that stand in their path and go forward with determination to achieve targeted success.

In his presidential speech, Mr. Raut said in Buddhist society, there is no dearth of meritorious students and parents and society’s role also is involved in their success. The students should acquire higher knowledge from many reputed universities and use their knowledge to advance the development of society along with themselves.

Prof. Gautam Dange and Vineet Bhajikhaye also guided the students on the occasion. Some of the students and parents also expressed their views and appreciated the organizers for this initiative.

Mr. Pranay Bhaisare conducted the programme, Tarkeshwar ambade made an introductory speech while Gautam Meshram proposed the vote of thanks.On this occasion, Mr. Tularam Raut, Prof. Prakash Dudhe, Balkrishna Bambode, Dalit Chandekar, Sunil Urade, Pradeep Bhaisare, Motiram Kotangale, Eknath Undirwade, Hanumant Walde, Manohar Walke, Aruna Raut and many others were present besides the students and parents.
