Gadchiroli Feb. 27 (District Correspondent) Rich tributes were paid to Dr. Muralidhar Baddalwar, a Sarvodaya activist of the city on his death anniversary the other day.

The memorial raised in the memory of the late activist in Ram Nagar area of the city was garlanded by the Retired Headmaster and social activist Devaji Sontakke and former councillor Gulabrao Madavi.

On this occasion, office barterers of various social organizations and the resident of the city were present. They included Sarvodaya Mandal District President Prof. Devanand Kamdi, District Secretary Vilas Nimborkar, Member Mr. Purushottam Sidam, Naib Tehsildar Sunil Chadgulwar, Mr. Devrao Bhogewar, Bhaskar Raut, Bhimrao Shende, Janardhan Taksande, Changdas Meshram, Ravindra Naitam and others.

Mr. Sontakke and others threw light on the life and work of late Dr. Baddalwar describing him as a true social worker who always worked for the people and carried out the Sarvodaya movement very honestly throughout his life.

An internal municipal road in Ramnagar was named after Dr. Baddalwar on the occasion. Mr. Vilas Nimborkar conducted the programme and Mr. Dewanand Kamdi proposed the vote of thanks.
