Platinum Jubilee School celebrates Marathi Language Day.

Gadchiroli Feb. 28 (District correspondent) Various cultural activities were organized at Platinum Jubilee School and Junior College here to mark the Marathi Language Day recently. The Day was observed with great enthusiasm and the students resounded with the melodious tunes of Marathi culture.

The students and staff came together and celebrated the occasion. Colourful traditional programmes dressed in costume, students participated in various programs to showcase their art and Marathi and showed love for language and art.

The highlight of this festival was the traditional Marathi dance performance, songs, depicting rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra. It was resolved by the students to maintain the heritage and work for the preservation and promotion of Marathi language. Marathi drama ‘Janta Raja’ was also presented on the occasion.

The school will continue to organise such programmes always for the overall progress of the students, said Mr. Azizbhai Nathani, while speaking at the programme. The programme was organized under the guidance of Principal Mr. Rahim Amlani. All the teachers and other staff members took pains for the success of the programme.
