Mumbai Veterinary College holds animal vaccination drive for Lumpy skin disease.

Mumbai Oct. 19 (Our Correspondent) Mumbai Veterinary College, Mumbai participated in Animal treatment and vaccinations campaign against Lumpy Skin Disease at Nandurbar recently.

The Lumpy Skin Disease is affecting livestock production and reproduction hence controlling the spread of lumpy skin disease is now a national priority. To curb the rampant spread of LSD, two expert staff and four students of Mumbai Veterinary College, Mumbai actively participated for the treatment of seriously affected animals with LSD and vaccination campaign in villages of Nandurbar district like Ranzani, Ambabari and Gotpada villages. Also, vaccinations in hilly areas of Dhadgaon was organized, told Dr. Ravindra Ambade, Team Coordinator and expert of the Lumpy Skin desease.

During this period of animal treatment and vaccinations, Dr. G. Palave, Dr. Vikas patil , Dr. Jagrut patil, Dr. Kishor Samudre, Mr. R. R. Gavit, Mr. D. Y. Patil and four degree students from Mumbai Veterinary College were also actively involved in this program.

Team coordinator & Expert Dr. Ravindra Ambade and Dr. Sushant Sole expressed sincere gratitude to the Resident Deputy Collector Mr. Sudhir Khond and District Deputy Commission of Animal Husbandry Dr. U. D. Patil sir for their constant encouragement, kind support and providing esteemed hospitalities during this campaign.
