Gdchiroli police arrest accused in Pat Sanstha cheating case within 5 days.

Gadchiroli Feb. 26 (District correspondent) The agent of Vijaya Mahila Nagri Pat Sanstha Mangesh Narad, who was absconding after collecting huge amount of money from the people by promising them attractive returns, was finally arrested by the Gadchiroli Police on Saturday within just five days of the complaint.

He was nabbed from Sindewahi in Chandrapur district by a team of police headed by the Gadchiroli PSO Arvindkumar Katlam.

According to reports, Mangesh was working with the Vijaya Mahila Patsanstha as an Agent and Manager for the past few years. By promising the people to return attractive benefits, he had collected around 67.31 lakhs of deposits in various forms such as fixed deposits, RD, daily collection etc.

On the completion of the term of their respective deposits the investors asked Mangesh to return their money, he disappeared. His mobile phone also was switched off and he used to live at different places to avoid his identity.

On getting the complaint, PSO Katlam got into action and ascertained the information of Mangesh’s location and finally arrested him from Sindeahi on Saturday and brought him to Gadchiroli.

It was found during the investigation that Mangesh had prepared fake certificates of the fixed deposits fake pass books of the daily collection. He had also made false signatures of the Pat Sanstha chairperson and cheated the people as well as the Pat Sanstha.

Mangesh has been remanded to police custody till March 4 next on his production before the court here. If more accused are involved in the matter, they will also be arrested soon, told Mr. Katlam. He has appealed the investors to contact him immediately for the further investigations, if they have been cheated.
