Four of a family killed in lightening.

Gadchiroli April 24 (District Correspondent) Four persons of the same family -husband wife and their two kids were killed in lightning near a dairy on Wadsa -Kurkheda road, around 1 kilometer from Wadsa -Desaiganj this evening at around 5.40 pm today.

The names of the deceased are given as Bharat Rajgade (35), Ankita Rajgade (28), Dewanshi (4) and Manaswi (2) Rajgade.

The Rajgade family belongs to village Amgaon in Wadsa taluka. Mr. Rajgade  had gone to village Chikhaldhokda near Purada for a marriage on their motor cycle along with the family members. When they were going back to their village after the marriage, it started raining upon which all of them took a shelter under a tree on the road.

All of a sudden, they were stroked by the lightening in which all the four were killed on the spot. The Wadsa police reached the spot, on getting information and conducted the panchanama.

Armori MLA Krishna Gajbhe also rushed to the rural hospital of Wadsa and sought the detailed information of the incident. He was accompanied by Mr. Motilal Kukreja, ex vice President of Wadsa Municipal council and R. D. Naitam, Naib Tehsildar.

A case of accidental death has been registered with Desaiganj Police Station and further investigations are on.

Deceased Bharat was a stage artist of the Zadipatti and was a singer. He was the only earning member in his family. His father had died few years ago and was living with his mother and family.

A pall of gloom has spread in the area following the tragic incident.
