Gadchiroli July 9 (District Correspondent) Newly inducted cabinet minister Dharmarao Baba Atram was accorded rousing reception by his followers, party workers and political leaders on his first visit to the district after becoming the Minister.
As soon as Mr. Atram reached the city, he was profusely garlanded and crackers were bursted by the NCP workers at the Indira Gandhi square amidst the playing of drums. The jubilant party workers and supporters shouted slogans in favour of Mr. Atram and took out his rally.
Mr. Ravindra Wasekar, District NCP President, Leeladhar Bharadkar, district youth president, Shrinivas Godshelwar, youth leader, Sanjay Shingade, Himanshu Kharwade, Tukaram Puranwar, Kishor Bawne, Jitendra Muppidwar and many others were present.
Mr. Ashok Nete, Gadchiroli Chimur MP met Mr. Atram at the circuit house here along with the party office bearers and presented him a bouquet and congratulated the minister on behalf of his party and the people of the constituency.
Me. Ravindra Ollalwar, former ZP chief and General Secretary of BJP, Prashant Waghre, BJP district general secretary, Mr. Rituraj Halgekar, youth leader of NCP, Govind Sarda, senior BJP leader were prominently present on the occasion.
Mr. Nete also discussed the district issues with Mr. Atram during this visit and hoped his leadership will help in resolving the issues of development. Mr. Nete also extended his best wishes to Mr. Atram.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Atram said he will whole heartedly work for the development of the district and will solve the problems of the people. Development of the district will be my top priority, whatever department I get, he added.
Many other political workers also met Mr. Atram at the circuit house and welcomed him and also submitted the memorandums regarding their problems.
While on the way to Gadchiroli, Mr. Atram was also welcomed by the people at different places like Bramhapuri, Wadsa, Armori, Porla. He was also taken into procession at Chamorshi by the party workers.
