‘Amhi Amchya Arogyasathi’ completes 40 years.

Gadchiroli March 4 (District Correspondent) The 40 th anniversary of ‘Amhi amchya Arogyasathi’, a voluntary organization was celebrated at its headquarters of village Yerandi in Kurkheda taluka recently.

Padmashree Dr. Parshuram Khune, Pro VC of Gondwana University Dr. Shriram Kawle, social worker Adv. Deepak Chatap, Founders of the Sanstha Dr. Satish Gogulwar and Shubhada Deshmukh were prominently present.

The dignitaries showing outstanding performance in different fields were felicitated at this programme by presenting them shawl and bouquets.

The Sanstha has been working since Feb. 1984 on various important issues like health, education, livelihood, agriculture, self-help groups, gender equality drinking water, food security, employment, cleanliness, environment, mal nutrition, child marriages, rehabilitation of handicapped persons etc. with the values of social justice, democracy and equality, it was informed by Dr. Satish Gogulwar on the occasion.

The Sanstha has been organizing several activities in villages to create awareness among the people and educated them on different social issues and doing the work of strengthening the rural people. The work of the Sanstha has spread in Chandrapur, Bhandara, Nagpur, Gondia and Gadchiroli districts by now, it was also told. Thousands of people have so far been benefited by the activities of the Sanstha.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Khune said the Sanstha has really done great work of empowering the people in the backward areas. Many people have got their rights due to the efforts of the Sanstha, he mentioned and extended his best wishes to the founders.

The other guests also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the services of Amhi Amchya Arogyasathi. Dr. Satish Gogulwar made an introductory speech and Ms. Rajni dongarwar proposed the vote of thanks. A large number of villagers attended the programme.
