Gadchiroli April 28 (District Correspondent) The virtual inauguration of All India Radio (FM) and Doordarshan Relay Centre of Aheri and Sironcha was held at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.

This inauguration was a part of the 91 such stations launched today by the Prime minister all over the country. The citizens will be able to listen 100 th episode of Maan ki Baat by this new station. This relay centre will benefit the people to listen the news and programs of Akashvani Kendra in the district. They will be able to listen  to various programs broadcasted by Akashvani Mumbai Kendra on radio sets and mobile phones without any antenna.

Gadchiroli -Chimur Lok Sabha MP Ashok Nete and former Minister of State Raje Ambrishrao Atram were prominently present at the inaugural function that was held at the Old Tehsil Office of Aheri. BJP senior leader Baburao Kohle, District General Secretary Ravindra Ollalwar, Incharge of Nimsarkar of All India Radio FM were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nete said Gadchiroli district was included in the aspirational districts of the country as it is an underdeveloped, tribal and naxal-infested remote district. To develop this area, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is providing substantial funds and is paying special attention to providing basic facilities.

Today, the inauguration of the Radio (FM) transmitter at Aheri is a major step in the development phase of the district. Through this, the citizens will get information about the social, educational, political, economic and cultural affairs of the country as well as various government schemes at home.

As the connectivity (range) of All India Radio FM is from 30 to 35 km, the people of this area will benefit and enjoy this service, he hoped and appealed the people to avail this facility.

Former Minister of State Raje Ambrishrao Atram expressed happiness over the launching of the all India Radio in a remote place like Aheri and said this will definitely benefit the people of the area. Through this, various welfare schemes of the Central and State Government will reach the people by which comman people will be benefited, he hoped.
