Gadchiroli Sept. 8 (District Correspondent) Informing that the five classes of Zilla Parishad primary school of village Ganeshpur village in Armori taluka are conducted in a very single room, the residents of the village have demanded early construction of the school building.

The villagers, including the members of school committee, village panchayat and self- help groups, met the CEO Kumar Ashirwad recently in his office here the other day and submitted him a memorandum in this regard.

There are presently 26 students studying in this school and the classes all of them are conducted in the same room which makes the teachers to teach and students to learn properly. All the classes are conducted together and nobody understands what is going on in the class, told the villagers.

We have been raising the demand of a separate school building for the village and met the concerned officers several times earlier too to bring this situation to their notice, but so far, no any action has been taken as yet and the students have been suffering a lot, told the villagers saying they are very much worried about the future of their wards.

It is very unfortunate that the serious issue like children’s education is being ignored by the administration for a long time and no any public representative also has given any attention towards it despite repeated requests and memorandums, told the villagers further.

If no any action is taken on the issue within a week’s time, we will have no other option but to lock down the school, they warned.

Present at the press conference were Mr. Anil Nawghare, Kumod Nawle, Someshwar Kosre, Archana Nawghare, Sunita Thorat,  Sunita Deshmukh, Mamta Kulmethe, Shobha Kulmethe, Shalu Thakre and others.
