SP Nilotpal appeals people to maintain social harmony during Ganesh, Eid festivals.

Gadchiroli Sept. 18 (District Correspondent) Superintendent of Police Nilotpal has called upon the people to celebrate the Ganesh festival and Eid e Milad peacefully and help the administration to maintain the atmosphere of social harmony and law-and-order situation.

He made this appeal while speaking at the Peace committee meeting held at Sanskruti Sabhagriha here this afternoon. Mr. Anuj Tare, Additional SP, Sahil Zarkar, SDPO, Mahendra Ganwir, Tehsildar, Suryakant Pidurkar, Chief Officer of Municipal Council were prominently present.

Mr. Nilotpal further said that Gadchiroli is known to be a peaceful city. This identity has to be continued by all. All the rules frames for the celebration should be followed by the organizers and ensure that the festivals are held in a peaceful and cordial manner, he added.

Mr. Nilotpal suggested the organizers to use the social media carefully and not to post objectionable comments, keep the sound under the permissible decibels, take due permission of the programmes, ensure that no sentiments of any religious groups are hurt, maintain the timings of the processions, install CC TV camera at the pandals to monitor the situation.

He asked the youths to maintain restraint during the processions, make the immersion through the swimmers to avoid and untoward incident and ensure that the festival passes off peacefully.

The other officers also spoke on the occasion and appealed the people to cooperate the administration to maintain the law and order during the celebrations. Also present on the occasion were Adv. Rambhau Meshram, Ms. Yogita Pipre, Wasudeo Shedmake, Latifbhai Pathan, Leeladhar Bharadkar and others besides the police patils, office bearers of the Ganesh Mandals and Masjid Committee.

At the outset Mr. Fegde, PSO welcomed the guests and delivered introductory speech.
