Gadchiroli April 27 (District Correspondent) Continuing its tradition, Sant Nirankari Mandal Wadsa (Desaiganj) had organized a grand blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Desaiganj the other day. A total of 188 people including 164 men and 24 women contributed to this humanitarian work by donating their blood spontaneously.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated at the hands of Armori MLA Krishna Gajbe and presided over by Mr. Kishan Nagdeve, in-charge of Sant Nirankari Mandal, Nagpur Zone. Organizer of the camp Mr. Asaram Niraktari, Regional Director of Seva Dal Harish Nirankari, President of Saibaba Mandir Trust Naresh Vitthalani, Dr. Ashok Tumreddi of the Government Hospital Blood Bank, Satish Tadkalwar were mainly present.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Krishna Gajbe appreciated the venture and said that Sant Nirankari Mandal has become well- known for its great work of blood donation. He xtended his best wishes to the organizers and blood donors.
Mr. Kishan Nagdewe in his presidential address informed that the Mandal was requested by the blood bank of the district Hospital to organize a blood donation camp due to shortage of blood in the hospital of Gadchiroli. Considering the need, the Nirankari Mandal urgently organized this camp, he added.
Sant Nirankari Mandal celebrates ‘Manav Ekta Diwas’ on April 24 to pay homage to Sadguru Baba Gurbachan Singhji Maharaj and other martyrs. On the same day, tributes are paid to them through blood donation at all district centres or other main places. After that blood donation camps are organized all over the world as per requirement and convenience, it was informed.
The blood bank team of District General Hospital cooperated for blood collection. The blood test team of the local rural hospital also contributed. All male and female service members of the Nirankari Mandal were present in uniform and worked hard for the success of the camp.
The inaugural program was moderated by Director of Seva Dal Nanakram Kukreja and vote of thanks was delivered by Purushottam Dengani.
