Gadchiroli Sept. 19 (District Correspondent) The cyber cell of the Gadchiroli Police has recovered as many as 285 mobile phones worth over Rs. 39 lakhs and handed them over to their rightful owners.

The young generation is using mobile phones in large numbers. After the mobile phone is lost or stolen during travel, the complaint is registered at the Gadchiroli Police Force cyber police station through the concerned police station. The cyber police station then searches such stolen and lost mobile phones.

If a mobile is lost or stolen, it is necessary to trace these mobile phones as soon as possible, as cyber-crimes are more likely to be committed through the said mobile. Considering these aspects, lost and stolen mobiles are traced through cyber police station as soon as possible.

In the year 2022, a total of 150 mobiles worth around 22 lakh rupees were traced through the Cyber ​​Police Station and handed over to the concerned persons. Also, a total of 135 mobiles were searched in the year 2023 and their estimated cost is Rs. 18,80,975. As many as 64 mobile phones have been provided to the concerned persons at the hands of Superintendent of Police Nilotpal recently.

The said operation was successfully conducted by Cyber Police Station Incharge Ulhas Bhusari, PSI Nilesh Wagh and Police Constable Srinivas Sangoji, Varsha Vahirwar, Sangani Durge, Gayatri Naitam, Kiran Rohankar, Yogesh Khobrogade, Sachin Naitam under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Shri. Nilotpal Additional Superintendent of Police (Campaign) Anuj Tare, Additional SP (Administration) Kumar Chinta, Additional SP of Aheri Yatish Deshmukh.

Mr. Nilotpal has appealed to the public that the number of cyber-crimes is increasing at present and people are being cheated by showing different types of bait through cyber criminals. So public should be careful from cyber criminals and if the mobile phone is stolen, you should immediately register a complaint on the portal. Also, if the citizens been defrauded online, they should file a complaint on the number 1930.

Along with this, if the mobile phone is lost or stolen, trust the police and contact the nearest police station, sub police station, AOP as well as cyber police station Gadchiroli immediately, it has been appealed by the police.
