Pandharpur (Special Reporter) Matoshree Ramabai was selfless and dedicated her entire life that is why Bhimrao Ambedkar could become Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, asserted Mr. D. K. Sakhre, President of Dongargaon School Management Committee while speaking at the death anniversary of Matoshree Ramai at village Dongragao in Pandharpur taluka the other day.

The programme was jointly organized by the village panchayat and Matoshree Ramai Foundation.

Initially, the program was started by offering a wreath to the image of Mata Ramai by Ms. Sarika Khilare, Sarpanch of Dongargaon Gram Panchayat, and Buddha Vandana conducted by Adv. Sunil Jagadhane of Bombay High Court.

At this time DBS Bank’s Vice President Tulshidas Karande, BJP OBC Morcha District President Vivek Khilare gave speeches highlighting the life of Ramai Ambedkar. Former Hajapur School Principal Ishwar Maske Guruji moved the audience with his heart-touching speech.

At the same time, Asmita Annaso Patil, Shweta Bhagwat Patil, Chetan Madan Patil, Samarth Laxman Hembade, Madhuri Sanjay Chandanshive, Gauri Subhash Nagane, Sandhya Dhondappa Sakhre of Dongargaon who passed class 12th examination were felicitated with bouquets.

On this occasion, Tulsidas Karande said that there are many ways and facilities to make a career for the students and wished that this tradition of success will continue further.

Mr. Annasaheb Patil, Bhagwat Patil, Sharad Hembade, Dada Khilare, Amol Metkari, Shabbir Syed, Sidu Zende, Sridevi Sakhre, Vaishali Chandanshive, Urmila Mane were present besides large number of villagers.
