Gadchiroli Oct. 25 (District Correspondent) Ms. Manisha Madavi, a woman activist from Gadchiroli and the winner of Ms. India beauty pageant was recently felicitated by tribal development department for her achievement in the field of beauty contests and modelling.
A project level inter school sports meet was organized at Lok Biradari Project Ashram School, Hemalakasa in Bhamragad taluka in which Ms. Madavi was accorded felicitation.
Ms. Madavi was specially invited by the Tribal Development Project as the chief guest of this sports meet to guide and motivate the tribal students. Around thousand tribal students of various ashram schools participated in this meet.
Ms. Roshana Chavan, Gopal Uike, Shrawani Uike were prominently present on the occasion.
At this programme Ms. Madavi was honored at the hand of Mr. Shubham Gupta, Project Officer, ITDP Bhamragarh by presenting her shawl and sapling. A large number of students, teachers and parents attended this programme.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Gupta appreciated the performance of Ms. Madavi and said the tribal students can achieve success in life if they are determined and do hard work. Manisha is a live example of this, he asserted and extended his best wishes to her.
