Gadchiroli May 22 (District Correspondent) The senior social activist and president of Sparsh Sanstha Dr. Dilip Barsagde has been appointed as Project Ambassador of America’s The Pad Project.
‘The Pad Project’ is an international non-profit organization based in Greater Los Angeles, USA. It works in relation to management of menstruation all over the world.
In recognition of Dr. Barsagde’s work in the field menstruation of the girls and women in rural and tribal areas, Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Pad Dr. Melissa Burton and Education Program Manager Nicolette Harutunian appointed him as the Ambassador of The Pad Project by Dilip Barsgade for a period of one year.
Dr. Recyclable Cloth sanitary napkins are being manufactured under the guidance of Dr. Barsagde in eight villages of Gadchiroli and Dhanora talukas and 60 women have been employed through this work.
Dr. Barsagade will be working for removing the misconceptions about menstruation among the rural and tribal areas.
