Gadchiroli April 14 (District Correspondent) Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was a visionary leader. Through the Constitution he drafted and during his tenure as the minister he made several provisions for the welfare of every class of society. That is why he Is considered as the messiah of masses, said Dr. Suresh Dohne, well known speaker while speaking at the birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar on the grounds of Samyak buddha vihara, here this afternoon.
Mr. Hansraj Undirwade, president of Samayak Samaj Samiti presided over the programme while senior Republican leader Mr. Rohidas Raut, Principal of Samidha College Manoj Dholne, Samyak Senior citizens Association’s Kawduji Undirwade, Vishakha Mahila Mandal’s Sumitra Raut and Manisha Warke were prominently present.
Mr. Rohidas Raut said Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is being accepted as the icon of the deprived classes world over because of his historic fight for the human rights and people’s dignity. He appealed the Ambedkarites to remain cautious about the coming dangers and fight against them unitedly.
Dr. Dohne mentioned the different tasks performed by Dr. Ambedkar throughout his life beginning from the creation of the huge dams to the provision of working hours for the working class and said this leader always thought about the well being and progress of the deprived classes. The youths should proceed further with his vision and path, he appealed.
Prin. Dholne said safeguarding the Constitution of India is the most important task is it is the protector of the comman people. Any efforts to weaken this constitution need to be thwarted away.
In his presidential speech, Mr. Undirwade said the work done by Dr. Ambedkar is unparallel and it has been giving an inspiration and strength to fight against injustice.
Mr. Pradeep Bhaisare made an introductory speech, Moresh Ambade conducted the programme and Manisha Tembhurne proposed the vote of thanks. A large number of people attended the programme.
A three lingual souvenir ‘The Greatest Men Birth Anniversary’ was released on the occasion at the hands of the guests.
