Gadchiroli Oct. 6 (District Correspondent) Government has selected 9 companies for recruitment of as many as 137 cadres in the state. All these companies are owned by BJP and one company is owned by a BJP legislative council member. This decision should be withdrawn immediately, demanded Senior NCP leader and former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh while addressing a press conference at the Govt. Guest House here on Thursday evening.

Mr. Deshmukh was in the city to participate in the Kunbi morcha and meet the party workers.

The Nationalist congress Party is totally against the contractorization of the govt. recruitment as it is an injustice to the poor and educated unemployed youths of the state, Mr. Deshmukh said. No one is against reservation for Maratha community but the government should give reservation to this community which can stand in the court and it should be ensured that the reservation of the OBC community should not be reduced under any circumstances, he added.

When Devendra Fadnavis was the Chief Minister, it was announced to start 72 hostels for OBCs in 36 districts of the state, but he regretted that no hostels were started as yet in any of the districts, Deshmukh pointed out. He demanded that the state government should implement the Swadhar scheme for the students till the hostels are not ready. The paddy should be given a rate of Rs. 4 thousand per quintal to give financial strength to the farmers, he also demanded.

Mr. Deshmukh also demanded that the caste wise census of OBCs should be conducted on the lines of Bihar state to give justice to know the exact number of the OBC communities in the state and give them justice in accordance with their population.

The government has taken a very wrong decision to give 14 thousand 577 Zilla Parishad schools to private entrepreneurs. Because of this, these government employees will be the employees of the private companies tomorrow and there will be monopoly of the company owners, he pointed out.

Also present at the press conference were Gadchiroli district NCP president Atul Ganyarapwar, OBC cell Vidarbha president Raman Thawkar, State  secretary Adv. Sanjay Thackeray, Chandrapur district president Rajendra Vaidya, Rajubhau Raut, city president Vijay Gordwar, OBC cell district president Shemdev Chafle, taluka president Pradeep Chudhri, District Vice President Naeem Shaikh, Minority Cell District President Hussain Sheikh, Sanjay Koche, District Vice President Prasad Pawar, City President Amol Kuthmethe, Vivek Hulke, Kavi Abhare and other NCP workers.
