Gadchiroli May 23 (District Correspondent) Bhartiya Bouddha Mahasabha district branch Gadchiroli had organized a 5-day ‘Bal Shramner’ camp at Prabuddha Buddha Vihar, Vivekananda Nagar here. This was for the first time in the city that such a camp has been organized.
As many as 40 children from the different parts of the city and surrounding villages participated in this camp. The Shramner camp was inaugurated with religious rituals. Chivars (traditional dress of the Buddhist Monks) were donated to the participating shramners. On this occasion, Bhante Yashvardhan, Central Teacher of Bouddha Mahasabha Arun Tayde, District President Tularam Raut, General Secretary Prof. Gautam Dange, City President Balkrishna Bambole, Treasurer Moreshwar Ambade were prominently present.
The 40 Shramners who participated in the camp will live the life of a monk for 5 days. The parents of the youth encouraged their children to participate in the camp.
From this Shramner camp, central teacher Arun Tayde is guiding on the importance of Cheevara, biography of Gautama Buddha, biography of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, holy places of Buddhists, importance of Panchsheel in life, etc.
Organizing such Shramner camp for the first time in Gadchiroli city has received a great response from the people. Many donors are voluntarily providing breakfast, lunch and fruits for the shamners.
The programme was conducted by Mr. Moreshwar Ambade. Prof. Gautam Dange made an introductory speech and Balkrishna Bambole proposed the vote of thanks.
Gadchiroli City Women Executive President Aruna Raut, General Secretary Namita Waghade, Gadchiroli Taluka Women’s Executive President Shital Bhaisare, General Secretary Seema Khobragade, Central Teacher Surekha Barsagade, Nandini Barsagade, Suresh Barsagade, Mala Meshram, Shital Sahare, Ramnath Khogade and large number of people attended the programme.
