……..When CEO Kumar reads out Ruskin Bond’s story to students!

Gadchiroli Sept. 20 (District Correspondent) The CEO of Gadchiroli Zilla Parishad Kumar Ashirwad read out a story to the students and gave a pleasant surprise to all.

Greenwood School and Swami Vivekananda Junior College had organized this story reading programme for the students of Gadchiroli city recently in the school under the initiative ‘Chala Sobat Vachuya (Let’s Read Together’). Under this initiative, every Sunday a distinguished guest is invited in the school and the stories of their favourite authors are read out for the students.

The Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Shri Kumar Ashirwad was present for this program as the special guest. Mr. Ashirwad read the story ‘Those Three Bears’ written by the great writer Ruskin Bond for the students on this occasion.

Mr. Kumar also guided the students on how to understand new words and concepts while reading. He told the students about his meeting with Ruskin Band while he was in Mussoorie for IAS training. Talking about Ruskin Bond’s good health even at this age, he also told the students how important good habits are for the body.

He said that it was because of the love of reading that he and his brother had from childhood that they both were able to pass the UPSC exam and instilled a sense of hard work among the students.

Students from all schools of the city were invited to the program. Secretary of the School Satish Chichghare and Principal Sangeeta Atkamwar were prominently present on this occasion. Program outline was planned by Kumari Pragati Gujjar and all the teachers and staff put their efforts in organizing the programme.  Kalpak Magare moderated the programme and vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Ritika Gohne.
