Gadchiroli Dec. 31 (District Correspondent) The five day “Student Police Cadet’ (SPC) camp organized by the Gadchiroli Police concluded here on Saturday with the prize distribution by the Superintendent of Police Nilotpal. The Gadchiroli Police had organized this programme for the first time in Maharashtra.

SPC is being implemented from the year 2018 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India under the National Police Mission. Under this initiative, various activities are organized for the students of class VIII the and IX th for personality development and to inculcate values ​​for overall development.

During the five-day camp, necessary materials were distributed to the students and provided accommodation and food. Students were also told about Student Police Cadet Programme, E-Security and Cyber ​​Security, Values ​​and Ethics, Safety of Women and Girls, Fighting Evils in Society, Ethics, Patience, Tolerance, Sensation, Compassion, Respect for Elders, Discipline, Team Spirit, Attitude, Maharashtra Police, Crime Prevention and measures, anti-corruption fight, community policing, safety and traffic awareness and role of students against Naxalism etc. The students were guided by expert dignitaries on these topics.

Along with that, information was given about the latest weapons in the police department through a weapon exhibition and also a demonstration of disaster management and relief work in case of a flood situation, fire brigade was given by the police force. They were guided about the importance of dogs in bomb detection and crime investigation.  Along with this, tracking, yoga, physical exercise program, walking, kabaddi, volleyball, running etc were organized.

Various cultural programs such as elocution, singing, group dance, debate and street dance on the topics of evil customs in society, tent decoration contest were also conducted during the camp.

A prize distribution and concluding program was organized at Eklavya Hall at Police Headquarters. Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent of Police Nilotpal in his concluding speech, appreciated the innovative idea of the march and tent decoration done by the students and told the students that teachers and parents are doing important work to develop the students. The students are like a ball of clay and the teachers are making an idol out of it. The students should see their dreams with their eyes open and work hard until their dreams are fulfilled, he advised.

Additional Superintendent of Police Kumar Chinta explained the meaning of the words Empathy, Integrity, and Discipline in the logo of the Student Police Cadet and wished them good luck for the future. Some of the students expressed their feelings. and thanked the Gadchiroli Police Force saying that it will be an unforgettable experience in life.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Campaign) Yatish Deshmukh, M Ramesh, SDPOs Mayur Bhujbal, Sahil Zarkar, Nitin Ganapure, Sujit Kshirsagar, Bapurao Dadas and all the officers of the Superintendent of Police, Officer-in-Charge of Civil Action Branch Dhananjay Patil, Bharat Nikalje, took pains for the success of the camp.
