Gadchiroli May 10 (District Correspondent) The President of india Her Excellency Draupadi Murmu is most likely to visit Gadchiroli.
Gadchiroli – Chimur Lok Sabha Member Ashok Nete met the President at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi today and extended her an invitation to visit Gadchiroli to lay the foundation stone of the administrative building of the Gondwana University and also to attend the convocation ceremony of the University.
Mr. Nete, who is also the National General Secretary of the Tribal wing of BJP, submitted her a memorandum in this regard according to a press release issued by the office of Mr. Nete this evening. Dr. Prashant Bokare, Vice Chancellor of Gondwana University was also present on the occasion.
The Gondwana University has completed 10 years of its establishment and the university administration intends to develop this university as a tribal university. It has recently opened Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chair which was inaugurated at the hands of UGC’s former Chairman Dr. Sukhdeo Thorat. A Tribal Study Centre also is proposed to be started shortly in the university.
The visit of the President Murmu to this university will be a milestone in its development and further expansion, it is hoped.
