Mahatma Gandhi college, Armori gets NAAC’s A grade once again.

Gadchiroli Sept. 17 (District Correspondent) Mahatma Gandhi Art, Science College Armori has received a reclassified ‘A’ grade of the NAAC. As a result, this college has become the highest ranked college in Gondwana University. The NAAC committee had recently conducted the evaluation of this college.

The college is run by Manoharbhai Shikshan Prasarak Mandal that was earlier headed by Mr. Wamanrao Wanmali. The college was started to make the tribal, dalit and poor students of Gadchiroli district get education and become self-reliant.

Inspired by Manojbhau Wanmali, President and Ms. Sunitatai Vanmali, this college is committed to imparting skills and quality knowledge for the holistic development of students as well as social and cultural well-being. Mahatma Gandhi College has been marching towards success in the field of knowledge for more than three decades with the noble aim of progress and academic development.

To re-evaluate the college for the fourth time, a three-member committee of NAAC had visited the college on September 7 and 8 last.  Peer Team of the NAAC committee included President Dr. Sharanappa Halse, Coordinator Dr. D. S. Dahiya and Member Dr. Ajay Saxena.

The team  verified the work done by the college in the last five years under various criteria like Curricular Aspect, Teaching Learning and Evaluation, Research, Consultancy and Extension, Infrastructure and Learning Resources, Student Support and Progression, Governance, Leadership and Management, Innovation and Best Practices.

After discussing the qualitative matters with management and assessing the college at various levels, the three-member committee of NAAC submitted the college assessment report. The NAAC then awarded reclassified ‘A’ grade  to the College.

The qualitative progress of the college has continued steadily. It had received ‘B’ grade in 2004,  ‘B’ plus in 2012,  ‘A’ grade in 2017 and ‘A’ grade of 3.24 nac in 2022. This progress is definitely exciting, inspiring and directional, said Dr. Lalsingh Khalsa, Principal of the college.

President of the Mandal Ms. Sunitatai Vanmali, Secretary Manojbhau Vanmali, Member Mayur Vanmali, all office bearers of the Mandal as well as Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college have expressed joy over this achievement.

Dignitaries from Gondwana University, various organizations and officials have congratulated the college for this success.
