Gadchiroli June 9 (District correspondent) ‘Arogya Hakka Jansanwad’ programme was organized by NGO ‘Amhi Amchya Arogyasathi’ recently at Armori recently.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Anand Thikre, Taluka Health Officer. Dr. Dawal Salwe, District Health Officer, Dr. Chandrakant Dorlikar, Vice Principal of Mahatma Gandhi College, Dr. Jathar, ADHO, Ms. Rachna Fulzele, Dr. Sanjay Supare, Medical Officer, Ms. F. U. Meshram, Child Welfare Supervisor were prominently present.

Various problems of the health department such as vacant posts, insufficient stock of medicines in PHCs and Health Centres, lack of drinking water facility, lack of delivery rooms, Matru Vandana Scheme benefits, lack of Anganwadi buildings, kitchen sheds, lighting arrangements in Anganwadis were discussed in the programme.

The villagers participating in the programme raised the local issues and demanded their early solution. The officers of health and child welfare department assured to look into the matter and resolve the issues.

Dr. Shubhada Deshmukh, District Coordinator Head of AAA promised to raise the issues at the state level and get them solved by the concerned authorities. Mr. Someshwar Meshram, Sandeep Lade, Ms. Maya Koche, Sarpanchas, Dy. Sarpanchas, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, Health Assistants attended the programme.
