Gadchiroli Oct. 5 (District correspondent) A grandfather- grandmother day was celebrated at Carmel high School and Jr. college here the other day.
Dr. Manish Meshram, Heart Specialist presided over the programme while Dr. Ajay Kherkar, Psychologist, Fr. Johnson, CMI were the guests of honour. Fr. Jinesh Matghew, Principal of the school, Sr. Nancy, Vice Principal, Rajesh Patil, School Coordinator, Ms. Shubhangi Meshram, Kiran Wakde, Priya Rohankar were also prominently present.
The school students from std. V th Deo Chilbule, Arohi Meshram, Abhinav Telang presented songs based on the grandfathers and grandmothers during the programme. Ms. Ashwira Yadao (std. II nd) spoke on the importance of the grandfathers and grandmothers. The students of std. II nd and Ms. Neha Mam presented dances on the occasion. Some of the grandfathers and grandmothers also presented songs.
Dr. Manish Meshram advised the grandfathers and grandmothers to take care of their health according to their growing age. Some games were also organized for the attendees in which they participated and enjoyed the games. All the grandfathers and grandmothers were given gifts by the school.
Riddhi Chudhri and Amey Gedam conducted the programme while Ksrishma Girole proposed the vote of thanks. More than 250 grandfathers and grandmothers attended the programme.
