Gadchiroli Jan. 19 (District Correspondent) City Pride Award, a district level modelling competition and award show was organized recently at Sumanand Hall here by the well-known model Ms. Vaishnavi Dakhne.
The show was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Ashok Nete, MP and Dr. Deorao Holi, MLA. Mr. Kushal Gedam, Ranjit das, Manish lambat, Aashish Kannamwar, Vishal Harde, Dr Milind Narote were prominently present.
Several artists and models presented their show in this programme. Vaishnavi traditional round, funky round (creative round- the newest concept in Gadchiroli) etc were organized during the show.
Ms. Smita Chawda, Smita Khobragade, Faiz sheikh worked as the juries of the show. In Mr. category Kaif Areej Ashpak Ali won the prize, inMrs category Himeshwari Gahane, Girl kid category Ruchi Gedam, Boy kid category Khush Kohpare, Miss category Nikita Ramawat bagged the prizes.
The guests appreciated the initiative of Ms. Vaishnavi Dakhne and said this event will help the youths in the district to show their skill and excel in such shows at the national level and will bring about a sense of self confidence to perform. The district of Gadchiroli has no dearth of artists and this show has provided a platform to such youths, they said.
A large number of art lovers attended the show.
