Five important resolutions passed in PWP central committee meeting.

Gadchiroli Nov.m 27 (District Correspondent) Five important resolutions were passed in central committee meeting of the Shetkari Kamgar Paksha that was held at Hotel Lake view here on Saturday.

These resolutions were regarding agriculture, women, agricultural lands and 5th schedule which were passed unanimously with the approval of the committee members.

General Secretary of the party Mr. Jayant Patil, Shyamsunder Shinde, senior leader Prof. S V Jadhav, president of Purogami Mahila Sangathan Asha Shinde, Mumbai office secretary Adv. Rajendra Korde, district secretary Ramdas Jarate were prominently present in this meeting.

Babasaheb Deshmukh, Adv.Rahul Deshmukh, Babasaheb Karande, Kakasaheb Shinde were present on the stage. At the beginning of the meeting Mr. Samya Korde read out the Preamble of the Constitution and administered oath to everyone. After that, Adv. Rajendra Korde outlined the two-day meeting. In the beginning, Prof. S V Jadhav proposed the first resolution that ‘Agriculture should be given the status of an industry’. Vishnupant Gholap of Beed seconded the resolution.

On this occasion, Prof. Jadhav made a scholarly discussion about agriculture. In the last 70 years, the production of agricultural products has increased from 5 million tons to 315 million tons. However, the farmer’s income did not increase. Prof. Jadhav criticized that the previous governments did not implement a comprehensive agricultural policy. The Modi government has given an affidavit in the court that it cannot provide guarantees to the farmers as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission. Moreover, the Agricultural Produce Market Committees were also dismantled. Prof. Jadhav criticized that Ambani and Adani planned to put the land of poor farmers in the throat of the corporates.

Ms. Asha Shinde, state president of Progressive Women’s Association, moved another resolution on the issue of women’s protection and empowerment. Netradipa Patil of Kolhapur approved it. Take strict legal action to stop injustice and oppression of women, it was demanded.

The third resolution was proposed by Mr. Shyamsunder Shinde. This was regarding Gayran land. Ramdas Jarate moved the fourth resolution on implementation of 5th Schedule rights. Babasaheb Deshmukh, the state president of the Progressive Youth Association, put forward the fifth resolution to declare a wet drought in the state and pay 100 percent compensation to the affected farmers. Mr. Balasaheb Deshmukh approved it.

More than twenty representatives from various parts like Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Solapur, Aurangabad, Konkan attended this meeting. A public meeting will be held at Indira Gandhi Chowk on the second day of the convention.
