Alumni Meet of Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ghot held.

Mr. Rajan Gajbhiye, Ravi Bhandekar and others at the inauguration of the alumni meet.

Gadchiroli Dec. 8 (District correspondent) The alumni meet was organized by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ghot recently and the school auditorium.

Mr. Rajan Gajbhiye, Principal of the School, presided over the meet while Mr. Vijay Indurkar, Dr. A. K. Prasad, retired principal, Bhimrao Sirsath, retired vice principal, Ms. Rekha Shrungarpawar, Kumudini Prasad were prominently present.

More than 250 former students of the school participated in this meet and shared their experiences with the institute. Mr. Ravi Bhandekar, Personal Assistant to MP Ashok Nete informed how he made efforts for pursuing the forest land issue of the Vidyalaya with the central Human Resources Development Ministry and got the long pending issue cleared, Dr. Yashwant Durge, director of the City Hospital, Gadchiroli told how his continuous efforts got success in raising his hospital in the city of Gadchiroli. Dr. Shyam koreti, Head of History, Nagpur University advised the students to face the difficulties bravely to go ahead in life.

Dr. Chandrashekhar Shangonda, Dentist also spoke about how he faced the difficulties and became a successful doctor, Mr. Amol Kamble, Tehsildar, explained how his hard work helped in achieving the success in becoming a Revenue Department officer. The knowledge and values received from the Navodaya Vidyalaya proved useful for me, he told. Mr. Yogesh Dongarwar, Manager of State Bank of India said that the teachers of the Vidyalaya have great contribution in creating his personality and position. Students are given proper shape in this school, he added.

The other former students also shared their experiences with the school and their success stories in different fields. The toppers of 2023 academic session were felicitated on the occasion by presenting them prizes at the hands of the guests. Various cultural programmes were also organized during the meet in which many former students participated.

In his presidential speech, Mr. Gajbhiye said the school is progressing and providing all the necessary facilities to the students. Students should develop positive approach for achieving success, he advised. He called upon the students to cooperate the Vidyalaya for its further progress.
