
Gadchiroli May 29 (District Corrspondent) With the objective of enhancing knowledge, boosting self-confidence, and providing firsthand exposure to various national-level institutions, an educational tour to Delhi by air has been organized for 120 students of the government residential schools across the district, under the aegis of the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance.
For this tour, scheduled from May 29 to June 1, 2026, the students departed from Nagpur Airport today, bound for Delhi. On this occasion, Dr. Sachin Madavi, Assistant Commissioner of Social Justice, extended his best wishes to the students and flagged off their departure from the airport.
A total of 120 students have been granted this opportunity for an educational tour- 40 female students from the residential school in Sironcha, and 40 students each from the residential schools in Wangepalli and Navegaon. As this marks the very first air travel experience for these students hailing from remote and rural areas, their faces radiated a unique sense of excitement and joy.
During their visit to Delhi, the students will visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Parliament House. By visiting various historical and scenic landmarks across Delhi, they will be able to acquire firsthand knowledge regarding the nation’s history, culture, and heritage.
The Department of Social Justice is implementing this innovative initiative with the aim of fostering the holistic development of students and inspiring them to dream big. Assistant Commissioner Sachin Madavi stated that this educational tour will serve to broaden the students’ horizons of knowledge and provide those from remote regions with a valuable opportunity to gain direct exposure to institutions of national significance.
