Gadchiroli Jan. 9 (District Correspondent) Ball Badminton Federation of India had organized jointly with the Maharashtra Ball Badminton Association and Ball Badminton Association National Ball Badminton Tournament at the Government Science College here.
The competition was inaugurated this morning by the Minister for Food and Drug Administration Dharmarao Baba Atram. Dr. Prashant Jaki, Principal of the Government Science College, presided while Dr. Sachin Madavi, Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare, Y Rajaram, General Secretary of Ball Badminton Federation of India, Prashant Dondal, District Sports Officer, Leeladhar Bharadkar, District Planning Committee Member, Dr. P.K.Potala President of Maharashtra Ball Badminton Association, DS Gosavi Working President, Atul Ingle, General Secretary and Dr. Suraj Yeotikar Director Sports Department, Dr. Darshana Yeotikar, Jijamata Awardee, Rajendra Bhandarkar, Shiv Chhatrapati State Sports Award winner, Younus Shaikh were prominently present.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Dharmarao Baba Atram congratulated all the players attending the tournament and assured to give them all the necessary cooperation.
A beautiful march along with the school band of Gondwana Sainiki Vidyalaya was taken out in the beginning which attracted the attention of all the sports enthusiasts as well as the spectators. Player from Gadchiroli Ashish Nizam held the torch.
Organizing Committee President Rashikant Papalkar, Secretary Atul Ingle, Ball Badminton Association, Om Prakash Sangrame, Prof. Rupali Papadkar, Ashish Nizam, Kapil Bagde, Prashant Mashakhetri, Praveen Poyam, Sanjay Mankar and others took pains for the success of the tournament.
Dr. Shriram Pawar Thane and Raman Gagapurwar conducted the programme Introductory Association President Dr. P. K. Patel made an introductory speech and Rajendra Bhandarkar proposed the vote of thanks.
