Gadchiroli Dec. 21 (District Correspondent) The students of the Department of Political Science of Mahatma Gandhi Art, Science and Commerce College Armori visited the Maharashtra Legislature at Nagpur to witness its proceedings of the winter session recently under the guidance of Principal Dr. Lal Singh Khalsa.

As many as 19 students of the college were taken for the session after receiving permission through the Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat to observe the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council Hall in the winter session of the Maharashtra Legislature. Both the Houses of the Legislature were visited while the proceedings were in progress. Students had the experience of watching the proceedings of the session sitting in the audience gallery of both the halls.

In the session, the location of the meeting of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council, the arrangement of the meeting of the members of the House, the dialogue between the ruling and opposition parties in the House, the question-and-answer session, the proceedings of both the Houses were seen by the students. Earlier, they used to see all these things on TV sets. But after visiting the convention, the students got the experience of seeing it with their own eyes. Prof. Gajanan Borkar Head of Department of Political Science and Prof. Pundalik Vyahadkar, Head of History Department accompanied the students.
