Gadchiroli Oct. 10 (District Correspondent) ‘The tribal culture of Gadchiroli is rich and youths should introduce this culture to the entire world with pride’, said Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Ayushi Singh while speaking at the 15th Tribal Youth Exchange Program organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra and Central Reserve Police Force here on Monday.
A batch of 30 youths was despatched on the occasion to Chandigarh.Ms. Singh further said that the feeling of backwardness in our mind is inappropriate. Do not be inferior and that we are behind in anything than others, she advised.
True education is more in the outer world than in books. So the travel opportunity is golden and utilize it fully to broaden your knowledge, she said. District Youth Officer Amit Punde along with CRPF 192 Battalion officer Narendra Kumar were prominently present in this program.
A total of 240 tribal youths from Aheri, Bhamragarh and Etapalli talukas of Naxal-hit Gadchiroli will be sent various 9 major cities of India by the police, Nehru Yuva Kendra and CRPF, it was informed on the occasion.
The main objective of the program is to make tribal youth aware of India’s rich cultural heritage, unity in diversity, to imbibe the self-confidence¸ make them aware of developmental activities and industrial progress in the country, it was further informed. It also aims at developing emotional relationships with the youths from different parts of the country and to help boost their self-esteem.
Major activities of the program include interaction sessions with constitutional officers and dignitaries¸ panel discussions¸ lecture sessions etc. Activities under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav¸ Oratory Competition¸ Skill Development¸ Industry Visits related to Career Guidance¸ visits to historical sites are also included in the tour.
