Gadchiroli Oct. 22 (District Correspondent) Various social utility utility activities were organized by the Nationalist Congress Party workers on the sprawling grounds of Sneha Lawns, Khamancheru in Aheri taluka to mark the birth day of Maharashtra food and Drugs Minister Dharmarao Baba Atram the other day.
Well known Marathi actress Mugdha Godse specially attended the programme as the chief guest. Ms. Bhagyashree Atram- Halgekar, former ZP chief, youth leader Rituraj Halgekar, Ravindra Wasekar, District NCP President, Commandant of CRPF Bn. 9 Rajeshwar Balapurkar, Commandant of CRPF Bn. 37 Mohandas Khobragade, senate member Tanushree Atram, Panchayat samiti member Harshavardhan Baba, former ZP chairman Nanabhau Nakade, District youth NCP president Leeladhar Bharadkar were prominently present.
Mr. Atram was weighed against laddus (ladutula) and the Minister was presented ‘Hanuman Gada’. A short film and special poster on Dharmarao Baba Atram was released on the occasion. A mega health check -up and treatment camp was also organized at the rural hospital of Aheri in which health of hundreds of patients was examined by the doctors and they were given medicines free of cost.
A cultural programme ‘Maharashtracha Hasyakallol’ and dance was presented on the occasion by the well-known artists from Mumbai for the entertainment of the people. A beautiful rangoli of Dharmarao Baba drawn by artist Sujay Bachhar and concepted by youth leader Surendra Alone at the entrance of the celebration site attracted the attention of the people.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Atram said that he could reach the position with the love and support of the people and promised to continue his services in the future too with the same spirit.
A large number of party workers, citizens and admirers of Dharmarao Baba attended the programme.
