Gadchiroli Sept. 12 (District Correspondent) Former Minister Vijay Wadettiwar has planned a novel venture of heart surgeries on the children between the age of 1 to 10 years with a deadly disease of hole in heart free of cost.
The parents of Gadchiroli district whose children are suffering from a fatal disease like hole in the heart since their birth have been appealed to apply at the residence of Mr. Wadettiwar and also at the district congress committee office till September 22 next.
Mr. Wadettiwar has arranged a free vehicle to take the patients to Nagpur on September 25. Therefore, the said patients and their parents have been requested to attend the District Congress Committee office at .
On the initiative of Mr. Wadettiwar, the patients in Nagpur will be taken to Mumbai for surgery after being examined by a specialist doctor in Mumbai. Many babies suffer from congenital heart disease with a hole in the heart.
The financial situation of the family, the expensive treatment and the difficulty of getting the treatment while staying in a big city are not affordable for the patient’s relatives at the rural level. On getting this information, Mr. Wadettiwar decided to get the surgeries of such children done in the Thane hospital.
The children aged 1 to 10 from Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts who are suffering from cardiac diseases will undergo free surgery at Jupiter Hospital Thane (Mumbai). The air travel, accommodation, surgery and treatment expenses will be provided free of cost to the sick patient and one relative each.
It has been appealed by Mr. Wadettiwar to the parents of the children having such a disease to avail the benefit of this venture.
