Gadchiroli Sept. 6 (District Correspondent) The attitude of the society towards a disabled person still does not seem to have changed. The feeling is still visible that a Divyang person cannot do anything. That is why ‘Amhi Amchya Arogyasathi’, (AAA) an NGO from Kurkheda had organized a training camp for the disabled persons Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Project recently.

A total of 63 disabled persons from eight talukas of Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Bhandara and Gondia districts participated in this camp.

The trainees were given a training of Small Business and Goat Rearing at Rani Durgavati Training Centre, Yerandi. Means of livelihood should be made available to disabled persons and employment should be made available to them was the objective of this camp. Dr. Naresh Kamble, Animal husbandry specialist and Mr. Amit Turale imparted this training.

Let’s become financially capable as well as self-reliant and live life with self-respect, said Dr. Satish Gogulwar, founder of AAA while speaking on the occasion. He also gave the details of the activities being taken up by the organization for the disabled persons.

Professional Manoj Hanmalwar also guided the trainees. After that the trainees visited the house of a successful goat rearing business woman Ms. Malutai Bhoyar to see how a person with disabilities can carry on the business. Ms. Malti guided on various issues related to goat rearing such as goat care, pasture management, fodder etc.

Mr. Akash Janbandhu also guided the trainees on the topic of goat rearing business. The entire training was conducted under the guidance of Project Manager Manoj Meshram. Taluka Coordinator Indeswar Sahare, Chhatrapal Bhoyar, Nitesh Nagapure, Mahesh Nikure and others took pains to make the training successful.
