Gadchiroli Sept. 25 (District Correspondent) As many as 3 persons of the same family, including a 4-year-old child and 2 women were killed and 1 person was seriously injured in a ghastly accident this afternoon near Chamorshi Tehsil office when the speeding truck dashed against a motor cycle they were riding.
The names of the deceased have been given as Bhawna Narendra Jandhalwar (45), Priyanka Ganesh Jandhalwar (27) and Rudra Ganesh Jandhalwar (4). Narendra Jandhalwar (53) has been badly injured in the mishap. All of them are the residents of village Markanda Deo, the temple village near Chamorshi.
The family had gone to the Tehsil office of Chamorshi today on their motor cycle for some official work. When they were going back to their village after their work was over at around 4 pm, a truck (CG 08- AU 9045) loaded with iron ore dashed against their bike in which the three were killed and one man was seriously wounded.
The accident was so harsh that the bodies of the victims were ran over for about 10 to 15 feet from the spot of accident. While Rudra and Bhawna were killed on the spot, Priyanka breathed her last at the district Hospital of Gadchiroli. The condition of Narendra Jandhalwar is stated to be quite critical.
The truck driver however fled away from the spot. On getting information, Incharge of Chamorshi Police Station rushed to the spot along with his staff and took out the bodies with the help of JCB machine.
A large number of people assembled at the spot and expressed their anger over the accident.
