There should be mass movement for nutritious diet -Rohidas Raut.

Gadchiroli Sept. 29 (District Correspondent) Nutritious diet should become a mass movement and every house should be reached the importance of this diet, said Mr. Rohidas Raut, senior journalist.

He was speaking at a programme organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Central Bureau of Communications, Government of India, Regional Office, Wardha at Samidha College of Civil Services, Adpalli near here on Thursday in association with Samidha College of Civil Services and Department of Women and Child Development.

Mr. Hansraj Raut, Regional Publicity Officer of Central Bureau of Communications, Regional Office Wardha and Assistant Director in charge of Regional Office Nagpur, N. R. Parande, Child Development Project Officer, Dr.  Nilima Patil, Scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sapna Raipure, Police Patil of Adapalli, Kalidas Raut, Director of Samidha College were mainly present.

Mr. Raut further said we are facing various diseases due to lack of nutritious food. It is therefore necessary to take nutritious food to make our health strong. In the current era of busy life, maintaining one’s health has become a challenge. To build a healthy society, it is necessary to start with yourself. For this, it is necessary to reach the importance of nutrition to every house. Then we will be able to fulfil the dream of malnutrition free India, Raut stated.

Dr. Patil said, only if the health of the pregnant mother is good, her baby will be healthy and free from malnutrition. For this, women need to take care of their own health along with their family members. A variety of proteins, fruits and vegetables should be consumed regularly in the daily diet. Shee appealed that it is necessary to avoid junk food and everybody should consume nutritious food.

Mr. Parande said that to stop malnutrition, it is necessary to take care of the pregnant mother and the baby. Take all kinds of protein rich foods in your diet and also include fruits. He expressed his opinion that only then we can make India strong in terms of health.

Mr.  Hansraj Raut, Regional Publicity Officer made an introductory speech and gave the details of the programme. Ms. Yogita Khobragade conducted the programme and Mr.  Kalidas Raut proposed the vote of thanks.

Drawing, rangoli and cooking contest was organized on the occasion and the winners were given prizes.

In Drawing Competition Ms. Ragini  Lengure won the First Prize, Aarti Meshram, Second Prize and Deeksha RaipureThird Prize. In Rangoli Competition Ms. Akshini  Marbhate bagged the First Prize, Kajal Jambhulkar won the Second Prize and Kajal Khobragade got Third Prize. In Cooking Competition Ms. Pushpa Dhanolkar won the First Prize, Sharda Meshram, Second Prize and Kiran Mhshakhetri Third Prize.

Anganwadi workers and helpers along with Sanjay Tiwari, Chandu Charduke of the Zonal Publicity Officer office worked hard for the success of the program.
