Gadchiroli Nov. 25 (District Correspondent) A Grand Open Kabaddi Tournament organized by Mitra Parivar Sports and Cultural Association, Gilgaon was organized at village Gilgaon in Gadchiroli taluka the other day.
The program was inaugurated at the hands of Arvind Katratwar, District Contact Chief of Shiv Sena. Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha Coordinator Dr. Namdev Kirsan presided. State Youth Congress General Secretary Vishwajit Kowase, former Panchayat Samiti member Ramratan Gohne, Dr. Jagdish Patil Munghate, Sarpanch Ashok Kulmethe, District Congress General Secretary Harba More, Sandeep Banbale, Deepak Lade, Deepak Sidam were prominently present.
In his presidential speech, Dr. Kirsan said that, sports can create an atmosphere of harmony and sportsmanship spirit. However, instead of providing sports facilities to the budding sportspersons, the present government has taken a decision to give the playing fields and stadiums to the private people. Due to this privatization, the government is depriving the poor players of proper sports facilities.
This government is working to eliminate government jobs also by adopting contractorization. Due to privatization of public sector enterprises and the decision to fill the posts in government offices on contractual basis the unemployed youths are going to face difficulties in employment, said Dr. Kirsan. He appealed the youth to choose the right government while keeping these issues in mind during the next elections.
Mr. Arvind Katratwar, Vishwajeet Kowase also spoke on the occasion and extended their best wishes to the players and organizers. A large number of youths and cricket lovers attended the event.
