Gadchiroli Jan. 4 (District correspondent) The birth anniversary of social reformer Savitrimai Phule and Member of Constituent Assembly Jaipal Singh Munda was organized at Samidha College of Civil Services, Gogaon (Adpalli) near here on Tuesday.
Mr. Kalidas Raut, president of the Sanstha, presided over the program. Prof. Manoj Dholne, Prof. Pavan Mate, Prof. Yogita Khobragade, Avinash Achala, Madhukar Rohankar, Shivdayal Lade were present as the chief guests.
As students we should understand the essence of the great men’s life while celebrating their birth anniversaries. It is necessary to be aware of the efforts made by Savitribai Phule for the cause education of girls, asserted Prof. Dholne while expressing his views on the occasion.
President of the program Kalidas Raut said that students should shape themselves through various programs by emulating the ideologies of the social reformers and great personalities. This will help in shaping the life of the students and achieving the expected targets, he hoped.
The other speakers also shed light on the lives of Jaipal Singh Munda and Savitribai Phule. Students of the college Shubham Sahare, Vaishnavi Thavare expressed their thoughts in the programme.
The program was moderated by Chitra Shende and vote of thanks was conducted by Bhagyashree Urkude. The program was attended by all the students, faculty and non-teaching staff of the college.
