Gadchiroli Feb. 24 (District Correspondent) A two-day training camp of Samata Sainik Dal was recently organized at Samyak Buddha Vihar Gokulnagar here by District Women’s Branch of the Buddhist Society of India (BSI). Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar had established the Samata Sainik Dal in 1927 to create social equality, eliminate caste inequality, protect the values ​​of equality, freedom and brotherhood and to enable women to defend themselves.

The training camp was inaugurated at the hands of Ms. Sanghmitra Rajwade.  District Women’s Branch President of BSI Surekha Barsagade, presided while District President Tularam Raut, District General Secretary Prof. Gautam Dange, Treasurer Lahu Ramteke, City Women’s Branch President Aruna Raut, General Secretary Sumitra Raut, Gadchiroli Taluka President Sheetal Bhaisare were prominently present.

Major General Ashok Perkawar from Chandrapur was the chief guide. He briefed the female trainees about the establishment of the Samata Sainik Dal, the constitutional rights of women, Provisions of the Atrocities Act, functioning of the Samata Sainik Dal, reading the preamble of the Constitution, etc. and provided training on how to conduct drills, exercises, salutes, and parades. The female trainees attended the training wearing blue caps and white sarees.

On this occasion, District President Tularam Raut, District General Secretary Prof. Gautam Dange, Surekha Barsagade, Sheetal Bhaisare, Lahu Ramteke also attended the training and provided guidance. As many as 40 women participated in this camp.

Trainees Archana Bhaisare, Lilabai Kotangale, Kiran Urade, Pratima Sahare, Sanghmitra Ramteke expressed their views and expressed the optimism that such training should be organized regularly as they are quite beneficial.

Ms. Manisha Warke, Sandhya Bhaisare, Abhilasha Shimpi, Shashikala Sahare, Manjusha Janabandhu, Diksha Bhaisare, Ujwala Jambhulkar as well as all the office bearers of the women’s branch cooperated in making the training successful. Ms. Leena Dholane conducted the training and Sanjeevani Wankhede expressed the vote of thanks.
