Gadchiroli, Feb. 20 (District Correspondent) Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad Suhas Gade, appealed to the young generation to actively participate in the work of national interest taking inspiration from the valour, good governance and inclusive thoughts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

He was speaking at the cultural program and grand march organized by the District Administration and District Sports Department at the District Krida Bhavan on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti.

Resident Deputy Collector Ashish Wankhede, District Sports Officer Bhaskar Ghatale, Education Officer (Secondary) Vasudev Bhuse, Education Officer (Primary) Babasaheb Pawar, social activist Shamsher Khan Pathan were prominently present on the occasion.

Mr. Gade further said that Shivaji Maharaj built Swarajya by taking all sections of society along. Even in today’s times, there is a need to create a “New Gadchiroli” with the spirit of unity, giving equal opportunities to everyone. He mentioned that the government is striving to take the country’s economy to the forefront at the global level, and every citizen should contribute to this journey.

The grand walk was also organized to mark the occasion. The walk started from the District Sports Complex and passed through the main roads of the city, including LIC Chowk, Tribal Development Project Office, and concluded at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial in front of the government rest house on Chandrapur Road.

During the walk, the entire area was filled with slogans of “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji”. These slogans, which conveyed the message of patriotism, bravery and self-respect, created a wave of enthusiasm in the atmosphere.

Before the walk, NSS, Scouts and Guides as well as students from various schools won the hearts of the audience by presenting patriotic and historical cultural programs.

Public representatives, administrative officers, social workers, students and citizens participated in this walk in large numbers.
