Gadchiroli May 16 (District Correspondent) The 367th birth anniversary of the second Chhatrapati of Swarajya Shivputra Sambhaji Maharaj was celebrated at Samidha College of Civil Services Adapalli (Gogaon) the other day.
In-charge principal of the college Tilesh Mohurle presided over the programme while Prof. Nitin Naitam, Prof. Ankush Gohne, Madhukar Rohankar, Sushmita Madavi were prominently present.
A portrait of Sambahaji Maharaj was garlanded and traditional lamp was lighted to pay respects to the great warrior.
Yugandhar Shumbhuraja was born on 14 May 1657 at Purandar. At the age of just 9, he became Sanskrit Pandit and inspired the youth of this country to write and read by writing four books namely Budhbhushan, Nakhshikh, Nayikabhed and Satshatak. Shambhuraje lived a life of only 32 years, but has done such important work for the people at this young age that he was known all over the country. The youths should take inspiration from his life and work, it was appealed by the guests.
