Gadchiroli Oct. 18 (District Correspondent) The results of the inter-college sports competitions conducted by Gondwana University have been declared. Teams from various colleges under Gondwana University participated in these competitions. The competitions include Archery, Swimming, Athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, Boxing, Kabaddi, Hockey, Cricket, Handball, Mini Golf and others.
These competitions have started with the yogasana competition and from women’s group Chintamani Science College, Pobhurna bagged the first prize, N. H. College Brahmapuri stood second and Anandniketan College Varora stood third. Santosh Sharma coordinated the yoga competition. Mahesh Joshi and Sanghpal Narnaware assisted.
In women’s volleyball group, Sardar Patel College, Chandrapur got the 1st, Lokmanya College, Warora 2nd, Shri. J.S.P. M. College Dhanora bagged the third position. Dr. Anis Khan, Dr. Muralidhar Rukmode, Dr. Anand Wankhede played a role for team selection.
In women’s kho-kho team, Sardar Patel College, Chandrapur stood first, Anand Niketan College Varora, second and women’s college Gadchiroli stood third. Dr. Dnyaneshwar Thackeray, Dr. Sangeeta Bambode, Dr. Prakash Vaidya cooperated for the selection.
The university team will be formed from various colleges who participated in these competitions to participate in Indian Inter-University and Western Regional Inter-University competitions.
Gondwana University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prashant Bokare, Pro VC Dr. Shriram Kawle, Registrar Dr. Anil Hirekhan have congratulated the winner students. The inter-college sports competition was held under the supervision of Director of Sports Department Dr. Anita Lokhande.
